BURLEY

Alongside Virginia, it is the other key component in structured cigarette blends. It is linked to the history of the migration of pioneers to the Far West, who began growing tobacco outside the traditional East Coast regions.

Legend has it that it was first grown by mistake, from Kentucky seeds, on the banks of the Ohio River in 1864, and that the grower, convinced that the seeds purchased in Kentucky would yield that cultivar, was disappointed by the spindly seedlings and initially destroyed them, only completing the harvest the following year. This harvest resulted in a structured leaf with a rich and full-bodied aroma. Burley is a fragrant tobacco whose neutral flavour makes it ideal for balancing blends, lending them strength and pairing well with a wide variety of flavourings.

In the history of vaping, Burley was one of the first tobaccos to be used, thanks in part to its varieties, which make it a diverse product with nuances to be discovered; the popularity of this flavour has always been at its highest precisely because of its flexibility in blending and its high level of aroma.

The Burley used in this extract is of the light air-cured type, the classification of which is regulated in Europe by the EXPLANATORY NOTES TO THE COMBINED NOMENCLATURE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION (2015/C 076/01) of 4 March 2015

“‘Light air-cured’ Burley-type tobacco, including Burley hybrids, tobacco that has been dried with warm air under natural atmospheric conditions and which does not give off a smoky odour when subjected to heat or increased airflow; the leaves vary in colour from light brown to reddish. Other colours and colour combinations often result from varying degrees of ripeness or from cultivation or curing techniques”.

The SOLO range

The aroma is produced from the finest tobacco leaves using specific extraction and purification processes engineered in the Blendfeel Lab. This technology ensures they can be used long-term in pods and the most advanced refillable systems.

Format: X60 (10+50 with nicotine)

10 ml tobacco-extracted flavouring in a PG base containing 18 mg/ml nicotine, to be diluted with 50 ml of base. It cannot be used as is; add 50 ml of neutral base, with or without nicotine, to obtain a finished 60 ml e-liquid with a nicotine strength ranging from a minimum of 3 mg/ml up to a maximum of 19.7 mg/ml. 

The X60 format gives you maximum flexibility in choosing the final nicotine concentration, unlike the 20+40 flavours which allow a maximum nicotine level of 13 mg/ml.

The pack contains:

• 1 x 10 ml flavouring already containing 18 mg/ml nicotine
• 1 x empty 60 ml bottle with label, suitable for mixing
• The leaflet is integrated into the peel-off label on the 10 ml bottle; peel it back to read all the warnings.
